Roksanda Ilincic Keeps Warm for Fall 2012.

Roksanda Ilincic is a playful designer with fabrics, textures and fur and the results are always clothes for a lady who loves being a girl with a touch of luxury without trying too hard. The clothes will help with the cold outside with a bit of fur on everything from a sweatshirt to an evening gown. There was astrakhan silk with silk for day dresses and trimmed hoods, pencil skirt hems and evening gowns with thick lengths of the pelt. There were some simpler silhouettes that were standouts like the bright purple shift with a special touch of a pleat in the front and a fabulous fold on the back.
It is always nice to see Ilincic's collections because they have a nice simple and smart quality to them. I am sure her clients are always happy with everything she designs.

Roksanda Ilincic Spring 2012 is a Standout.

A beautiful edge of couture-inspired shapes were to be had for Roksanda Ilincic for this Spring 2012 collection. A wonderful play with shapes, volume and color gave a charming effect and had a touch of edge. These clothes were loose, despite the ballooning hems, waists, and sleeves - some of which resembled bells. Colors were bright and vibrant in a palette of pink, orange, turquoise green and aqua which brought a youthful energy. The only ingredients that did not mix well were the wallpaper-like embroideries and oversize plaids. Those ingredients did not hold me back from enjoying this nice collection and I know that Roksanda is a talent that continues to try new things and has the courage and confidence to show them.

Impressive Fashion Day in London

The collections presented today were impressive. Such well thought out designs perfect for ant woman to wear. They had retail as well as a collectible clout. Wearable and special and one of a kind all in one day. What more would buyers, stylists and editors want?
Young Thomas Tait (only 23 years young) is making his mark with his keen talent. I look forward to see more of his work. Mario Schwab, powerful mixture of leather and fabric. Mary Katrantzou pushed prints to the limit! Emilio De la Morena, Fashion East, and Meadham Kirchoff were all  deserving to present. Aquascutum did a fine job. The tailoring mixed with softness was brilliant. Roksanda Ilincic showed a collection that was sexy, elegant and modern. Cheers to you Roksanda!
London has a bit more to show. And I am sure a lot of people will be impressed some more.
