Gucci Gives Aristographic Looks for Spring/Summer 2013.

Certainly stellar collection for spring by Frida Giannini for Gucci. In the show notes "Aristographic" Giannini said that she had been inspired by Richard Avedon, specifically his portraits of Marella Agnelli, Talitha Getty, and Gloria Vanderbilt. There was also an influence of Yves Saint Laurent in vibrant colors.

The lean tailored clothes and the recurring of bold large ruffles defined the silhouette while providing the collection's primary embellishment. Giannini showed tunics over fluid pants again and again, sometimes with abundant, tiered ruffles running down the sleeves, sometimes with cutout backs. There were some polished feminine suits that were unfussy, sharp and feminine.

The looks may have had some early Seventies feel for the day yet had a distinctive way of dressing for evening. Definitely this was a highly focused collection where there were lean options. Giannini did offer some diversity with python prints which were perfect and a giant sea anemone print which were all right.

The evening portion was totally beautiful and worked like a charm. The columns were linear yet loosened and had all the seductive elements in them in black, white and brights.
Confidence was the underlying essence that this collection offered and that was pretty loud in this line up and it was infused with glamour as well. Frida Giannini is doing Gucci justice with her talent and her strong eye for modern style.

Gucci Fall/Winter 2012-2013 is true Italian Taste.

Gucci had a magnificent collection that was tight, seductive and chic. The house of Gucci have a reputation for producing outstanding clothes that are quintessentially Italian. Frida Giannini thought of Romanticism of the 19th century. It really worked with the dark colors (maroons, greens and navys) and fabrics with flourish; high drama brocades and jacquards formed the base, worked in combination with velvet, fur, silk and leather.

The tailoring was absolutely impeccable. Suits were worked in different ways from soft to structured tailoring. Jackets were cut perfectly for the perfect fit including the right touches. Capes were the perfect pieces that finished the looks. Equestrian looks were an influence and worked well with the theme and attitude of the collection.

Evening was absolutely romantic and quite sultry. Some black numbers finalized and completely kept the attention of everyone because the fine draping That molded the body included the right touches of beading. All of this was the perfect and happy ending of the collection because of the seductive, glamorous looks that mesmerized the fashion audience.
Giannini knows how to turn on anyone and has done so consistently every season. The house of Gucci is still standing strong because of her great talent in design and how she continues to hold a strong vision for the house.

Gucci is Outstanding for Spring 2012!!

Frida Giannini has been on a roll designing stand out collections delivering her signature Gucci flair. A powerfully grounded collection for this spring season, Giannini did not stray away from what is essential to the Gucci brand. This time there is a connection to all that is from the Jazz Age, giving details that are deco and Gatsby, all perfect for the Gucci girl.

Short jackets over high-waisted pants tapered to the ankle all worked the Deco style in a palette of white, black and gold with some punch of green. There were some sparks of animalia in prints of a hybrid of python and zebra that showed interest. For evening, Giannini offered smashing flapper looks that were of chemise and dropped-waist combinations with audacious architectural goings on all bathed in sequins, metal, Plexiglass paillettes and miles of metal chain fringe. This entire collection will make any client look wonderful and have her do the shimmy only because she feels good and looks good in a Gucci!

Transparent Network

When feeling seductive, edgy or sexy with the touch of class,
elegance or sophistication,
the choices for being transparent are many this fall/winter season.
A veil between the skin and the world is intriguing .
Don't you think?

Milan Fashion Week Fall 2011 begins!

Milan fashion week started and I was so turned on by the colors and the sexy, energetic flair the Italians always channel. I am looking forward to seeing what they will show and how they will surprise us with their wonderful talents.

Alberta Ferretti presented a great collection with some vivid colors that immediately made me want to touch the wonderful pieces that were a mixture of chiffon, velvet, wool, leather and textures.
No. 21's Allesandro Dell'Aqua made a collection very lady like and modern with that Italian touch and suttle sexy lady like flair.
Francesco Scogniamiglio made a wonderful sexy collection that any woman of sexy elegance would adore. It made my mind say more, more, more! The best mini skirts and short pants, peek a boo, and lace and sexiness. There were some great pant suits and great jackets and coats. And the red evening dress at the end of the show was to die for. Really.
And then there is Gucci. One of the highlights this season is that Gucci is celebrating 90 years in the fashion world. Congratulations!
The collection designed by Frida Gianinni was phe-no-me-nal. Inspired by Anhgelica Huston photographed by Bob Richardson and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, I was absolutely captivated by the colors, the mixture of  textures, fabrics, shapes, everything! Gucci definitely has this collection to celebrate in additon to its 90th anniversary.
Multo bene for the beginning of Milan Fashion Week Fall 2011!!
